Managed Service Provider, Intercept (formerly ADS Portal), Celebrates 5 Year Anniversary of OnlineDesktop service

The very first customer, MSI Legal and Accounting Network Worldwide, attributes subscribing to OnlineDesktop as a key factor in their growth.

Intercept (formerly ADS Portal), a privately held subscription based managed service provider, is celebrating the 5th anniversary of its OnlineDesktop service and are proud to announce that their very first customer, MSI Legal and Accounting Network Worldwide (MSI), are still a customer. James Mendelssohn, Chief Executive of MSI, believes that by subscribing to the OnlineDesktop service from ADS Portal has assisted the growth that MSI have achieved in recent years.

Mr. Mendelssohn comments, "The majority of our time is spent working remotely, predominantly outside of the UK. The ability to access a complete desktop environment without having to worry about procuring the necessary hardware and software infrastructure, saves us time and money. Over the 5 years that we have subscribed to OnlineDesktop I have cut my annual IT costs by over 50% because I do not need to hire staff or pay hefty maintenance contracts. I can therefore focus on continuing to grow our business and not worry about IT."

All users have access to their data and applications no matter where they are in the world and MSI users have been to some very remote locations. In the event that they need technical support, Intercept (formerly ADS Portal) provides that service included in the subscription cost. Applications that are provisioned for MSI include Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook and users are guaranteed access to the latest versions when they logon to their desktop as Intercept (formerly ADS Portal) manage version control and patches centrally at their Data Centre. MSI also access their Sage Payroll and Pivotal CRM system, via the OnlineDesktop service.

Gary Collins, Technical Director at Intercept (formerly ADS Portal) says, "We provide an enterprise-class computing environments for organisations that traditionally don't have the level of budgets, skills or expertise to own and manage their own infrastructure. Intercept's (formerly ADS Portal) infrastructure includes enterprise-class load balanced firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, Storage Area Networks, Centralised Backup, content filtering of emails, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile support, along with inbuilt business continuity which is all there to allow our users to run a Windows Desktop and Windows applications from anywhere in the world."

He continues, "The OnlineDesktop solution is rapidly gaining momentum and becoming the preferred hosted solution for the SME market. The fact that our very first customer, MSI, is still a customer is testament to the continued quality of service that we provided over the past 5 years."
