Intercept continues its march in to managed services
Thursday, September 24, 2009
Intercept, the award winning virtualisation and cloud computing specialists today announced the addition of eight new staff members to its account management and technical teams. These new appointments build on Intercept’s extraordinary year-on-year growth driven by the revolution taking place in making public and private sector IT more sustainable and economical.

Richard Gilder, Chief Executive Officer at Intercept, says the expansion is testament to Intercept’s ability to deliver measurable customer value and brand building over the last 18 months. “Although there are obvious economic challenges at the moment, it’s still an exciting time for our business and in particular our on-premise and on-demand Managed Services. Over the last two years Intercept has seen its income grow 83% to £9.2 million. Managed Services was the powerhouse of this growth, increasing over 400% from 9% of revenues two years ago to nearly 30% today, due to overwhelming cost savings and efficiency advantages” says Richard.

Joining the Intercept account management team is Kef Thomas from networking vendor Cisco; Paul Roberts from managed service provider Esteem; Darren Roberts from cloud service providers Nasstar; Ronnie Parmer from specialist reseller Repton; Fionnuala Wallace from Salesforce.com; and Simon Allen from Xerox. Sara Flynn joins as Service Delivery Manager from Strategic Technologies, and finally Punit Sharma joins as Service Desk Analyst from Avid Technologies.

Intercept also recently committed to a Gold Sponsorship of this year’s IP Expo in October. It’s the only Reseller to be sponsoring the event in 2009. Visit Intercept at the IP Expo on 7 and 8 October, at Earls’ Court, stand 558 spanning the Cloud and Virtualisation zones and join the IT revolution.
